2005 Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special

This is a 2005 Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special in a tri-color sunburst finish. The PRS "SAS" is a very versatile guitar, equipped with dual McCarty humbuckers, plus a Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails single coil in the middle position. The latter pickup is switched in and out with a push-pull tone knob, giving you a broad tonal pallette.

The fingerboard is Rosewood, with the PRS Birds inlay. It also has a 20th Anniversary truss rod cover

Condition on this instrument is mint. I recently purchased it with the intention of using it as my tremolo-equipped stage guitar, but I've since switched gears and am going with an all-single coil instrument for that application. It has hardly any play time on it, although I did give it a good workout on 7/12, at rehearsal and through a '66 BFDR. It was really cool to be able to bring up a single coil sound so quickly and easily, or to snap back to humbucker tones. The tremolo is responsive and smooth. The guitar sounded great, and I had a lot of fun playing it.
