Here's a very cool Paul Reed Smith McCarty Soapbar electric guitar, in a finish
that I think they call Ocean Turquoise, with a natural Maple edge. This guitar
features a Carved East Coast maple top, thick Mahogany back, a 22-fret Mahogany
neck, a Rosewood fingerboard with a 10" radius and Pearl/abalone moon
inlays. The neck carve is described as "Wide-fat". The rock-solid
PRS stop tail hangs onto your strings at one end, and PRS Vintage tuners keep
them in place down at the other. Like all standard Soapies, this guitar has
dual Soapbar single coil pickups built and voiced by Seymour Duncan, and controlled
by a 3-way toggle pickup selector and master volume and tone control.
This is a sweet sounding, sweet playing guitar. I'm selling it on consignment
for a friend... I have actually been lusting after it for a while, basically
every time I've seen it hanging on the wall in his guitar room. And finally
it comes my way at a price I can live with, but right before it arrived I
got a beautiful Baker B1 59, and it stole my heart right out from under the
Soapie Turq. Such is life... and now, my gain is your... er... gain!
This instrument is in excellent condition. The only cosmetic issue I see is
pick marks... right where you'd expect them, on the treble side of the body.
I expect these could be buffed out nicely by a careful tech, if you so desired.
But you have to be close to see them - they are surface marks, not scratches.
