Redwood sure makes for a pretty top. Fortunately, it's not just for staring
at. Even warmer than Cedar, and arguably more harmonically complex, a Redwood
top is a superb thing to have on a guitar made for fingerstyle and lighter
strumming/picking. If you like to wail on your guitar all the time, then look
to something with a bit more headroom, like Spruce. But if you want a beautiful
resonance, and rich, singing notes at the lightest touch, then you really
ought to give Redwood a try. Oh, and did I mention how great Redwood and Rosewood
sound together? Well I should. It's lovely!
