I toyed with a few different ideas for naming this beautiful Breedlove SC25
Rosewood. Something about that light patch of Rosewood right down the middle
- made me think of Elvira, or Morticia Addams. The "Elvira" model
- catchy, huh? But I am not sure that Elvira plays guitar. And more importantly,
this guitar needs no suffix.
This Breedlove SC25 has everything you want in a Rosewood Breedlove, in a
no-nonsense package - a strong, resonant tone, with excellent bass response
for an assertive lead voice, on call when you need it. The soft cutaway gives
easy access to the highest frets, and a tight set-up to Breedlove's shop specifications
makes this guitar is very easy to play.
This guitar is used, but in mint condition. It was owned briefly last year
by a customer who subsequently wanted to upgrade to a Masterclass Rosewood
model (at almost twice the price!) This instrument was taken back as a trade-in
against that purchase. Due to Breedlove's strict policy about what constitutes
a new/retail instrument, it cannot go back out for sale as new.
