We all have our favorite style of guitar, whether it be a beefy jumbo, a delicate
parlour, or something in between. For my own style of play, I tend to gravitate
toward Concerts and OMs. But here's a Dreadnought that I could really get
comfortable with.
This is one of the best Breedlove Dreadnoughts I've seen so far - right out
of the case, the tone and playability of this instrument set it apart. It
has a singing quality to the tone, with the projection and power you'd expect
from any good dreadnought, but with the harmonic complexity, and the richness
of tone, that you'd expect from a Breedlove.
This guitar is also a stunner visually, too, and sports a striking figured
Mahogany back/side set. I sold another guitar with this same type of wood
- a Breedlove C15 with a Redwood top - and it too sounded terrific, warm and
punchy with a lot of clarity. If you've been looking for a Breedlove dreadnought,
I can highly recommend this instrument, especially at this price - a great
value, and an exceptional guitar.
