Lowden S32, in showroom-mint condition. Wonderful guitar, very powerful for
it's size, with the very distinct Lowden tone. The top is stellar Sitka Spruce,
while the back and sides are of Indian Rosewood - a beautifully grained set
with a rich, dark color. A wood and Abalone rosette adds a gorgeous accent
to the already striking instrument top, and the beautifully designed pinless
bridge is fitted with a split/compensated saddle. The body is bound with Maple,
and the neck is a five-piece laminate that looks fantastic. The tone is quite
unique, as you'll know if you've played a Lowden in person - woody and delicate,
but with a lot of power for such a small body. And Lowden's craftsmanship
and attention to detail are readily apparent, too. If you've been looking
for a Lowden to cherish, you will not be disappointed with this instrument,
which is in showroom-new condition, and comes in the original Hiscox lite-flight
case with paperwork.
Lowden's comments on the S series...
"The S Series features a small compact body, more akin to that of a classical
guitar, with our standard Lowden neck. The soundbox profile and voicing of
the S series guitars have been designed to accentuate the bass response and
remove the naturally over bearing upper middle frequencies associated with
a concert sized guitar. This has resulted in an unusually 'big' sound for
a small guitar with powerful trebles beautifully balanced by a compact but
warm bass register; an instrument with truly amazing projection. This series
will appeal to anyone wanting an extremely vibrant guitar in a small body
size."
This instrument came straight to me from dealer stock (NOS), and is in mint
condition. It was factory-fitted with a clear pickguard. As stated above,
includes Hiscox "LiteFlight" molded hardshell case, and original
paperwork.
