fine guitars & mandolins, finely represented.
A Letter from David Ingram
Friends and Customers:

It’s been four years since Imagine Guitars opened its virtual doors to the world. And it has been a fantastic four years. In that time, I have met and corresponded with some wonderful people, many of whom have become friends. And I have had the pleasure of coming into contact with some of the best guitars and mandolins one could hope to play. In short, this experience has exceeded my expectations in every way.

There would be no Imagine Guitars in its current form were it not for the Breedlove Guitar Company. My passion for their instruments and their craft has been well documented within the pages of this site, and my time as a Breedlove dealer has been a very rewarding and fulfilling experience. But alas, all good things must end.

Or must they? My professional life is about to change in a very exciting way. As of April 30th, 2007, I will no longer be an Authorized Dealer for the Breedlove Guitar Company. Instead, I will be working for the Breedlove Guitar Company.

It gives me great pleasure to announce that I am to oversee Marketing Communications operations for Breedlove. Of course, that means I can no longer be a Breedlove dealer. And in order to dedicate myself fully to this new role, I myself won't be able to operate Imagine Guitars any more.

But that does NOT mean it's over. Anything but! Imagine Guitars is not going away. In fact, it's going to get very exciting around here in a few weeks. Check back for more news coming very soon.

In the meantime, consignment instruments and other non-Breedlove stock are still available from me. And I will continue to provide post-sales support and approval periods for any instrument you purchase. Also, I will still be available to help you with questions related to the selection and ordering of Breedlove Custom Shop guitars. The difference is that you’ll be calling me at Breedlove, not Imagine. I will be happy to work with you to select the guitar of your dreams, and help you locate a dealer to work with if you do not have one locally.

If you are interested in a used/consignment guitar, please contact me for details. If you are interested in any of the new or Tried and True Breedlove guitars still listed on this site, those are still available too - just not from me. I refer you to the statement about new and exciting developments here at Imagine Guitars. If you're interested in hearing more, please write!

I would like to conclude by expressing my gratitude to the many people that have visited Imagine Guitars in the last few years and have complimented me about the site, my design and photography, and my descriptions. At the outset, I wanted Imagine Guitars to be the closest thing possible to viewing an instrument in person, and to hear that I might have come close to achieving that goal is very gratifying indeed.

Sincerely,

David Ingram
